Your Opportunity 

We are currently expanding the team and are looking for people to support the continued growth and development of our Portfolio Management team.

Your role could include:

• Sourcing data in a secure manner

• Collating and formatting data to present for review and further analysis

• Blending data by combining it from various sources and formats to explore it’s relevance

• Analysing simple and complex data to support business outcomes, using different methods to analyse the data

• Collaborating with people at all levels with a view of creating value from the data

• Interacting with Brokers to support their customers

What can I look forward to? 

Working in our Schemes Portfolio Management department with a team of analysts, you’ll help us achieve our Scheme P&L targets by suggesting improvements to our pricing, underwriting, and proposition.

During your apprenticeship you’ll:

• Learn how to understand and analyse customer requirements and then implement findings.

• Build data analysis skills to identify risks and opportunities.

• Develop collaboration and communication skills that help you share our insights with stakeholders in a way that suits different audiences.

• Understand data, enabling you to make informed evidence-based decisions

• Use data visualisation tools to create infographics, reports, tables, dashboards and graphs and communicating data insights.
• Understand how to collate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.

Alongside your day-to-day work, you’ll complete a Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship which will take around 18 months to complete. In addition to investing in your learning, we give you time to study as well as the opportunity to put what you learn into practice.

Purpose:

The role will involve the use of catastrophe models and aggregation tools in order to pre-risk the account and manage a portfolio of exposures. The role involves working in the portfolio management of the Terrorism class of business and offers the successful candidate an incredible opportunity to learn a broad base of skills within the Exposure Management function.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the management of a portfolio of risks, which will include frequent liaison with underwriting units for data requirements, clarification and understanding, and will involve the manipulation and entry of data into the licensed modelling software (AIR).
• A focus on the pre-risk analysis to determine the impact of new policies against the existing portfolio, involving the running of accumulation analysis within AIR.
• Assisting the team with reconciliation tasks ahead of monthly portfolio reporting, to ensure accuracy of data captured within AIR.
• Frequent liaison with underwriters, and other colleagues, as required to perform daily tasks.
• Assisting other team members in the preparation of monthly reports, or other submissions, as required.
• Involvement in any ad-hoc tasks or projects, as required by the EM or UW teams.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• A good level of numeracy, with the ability to analyse large data sets.
• A good level of computer literacy, with knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel. Any experience with SQL is desirable but not essential.
• An ability to manage time and work demands, and adhere to deadlines.
• A willingness to work in a team (as well as able to work under own initiative) and get involved in a wide variety of tasks as and when required.
• An interest in the insurance market including the Lloyds market.
• A willingness to learn through formal qualifications and attending seminars as deemed necessary.
• Good communications skills are required for interactions with multiple stakeholders

As an entry-level candidate applying for your first job, you are unlikely to have extensive relevant experience, which can sometimes cause nerves about how to present yourself for the role. However, we focus on how well you can articulate your abilities and your desire to learn.

On our rotational graduate scheme, you’ll spend at least two and a half years learning, growing, and developing invaluable leadership skills.

In your first 12 months, you’ll learn about the world of insurance. From here on, you’ll be able to tailor the scheme to your individual interests and strengths by rotating across three business areas of your choice, spending six months working in each of them.

We’ll work with you to build your career within Allianz, and you’ll have the chance to work with talented people across the business, whether in Allianz Commerical or in our Personal Lines business. These mentors will educate and inspire you, as you undertake projects to challenge yourself.

You may already have an understanding of what insurance is, but we want to assure you that there’s a whole range of roles outside of claims and underwriting, from working with pets to bringing electric vehicles to market. Role Summary

A newly created role, we are seeking an Graduate Exposure Analyst who will be responsible for delivering the stochastic modelling and exposure reporting and managing our UK and US underwriting such as Property D&F, Cargo, Marine, Construction, Power.

Working closely with both the UK and US Underwriting and Exposure Management team, the successful candidate will receive training from highly experienced exposure management individuals in this field and to eventually manage and look after the underwriting team requirements. The role requires liaising with both underwriting team and relevant stake holders that contribute to the aggregation and stochastic modelling of each class/

The new role will be supporting our MGA, Rokstone Underwriting and Exposure Management (EM) team and will be a great opportunity to eventually step up and look after individual class of business and learning about both Exposure Management and Catastrophe modelling from an MGA perspective.

Role Accountabilities

• Manage and monitor daily operation of AIR modelling platform, cat model analytics and exposure accumulation system.
• Contribute to the workflow automation for scheduled reports and other repetitive modelling tasks.
• Work with the EM team to create Cat model and Exposure reporting results for the US underwriting classes.
• Support the EM team on London underwriting team requirements during busy periods, if required.
• Become the first point of contact for the US underwriting team, MIS and London EM team for all US reporting and modelling enquiries and queries.
• Liaise with the underwriting to produce ad hoc cat model analyses.
• Liaise with the other team to assist data entry, aggregation and cat modelling of each class.
• Assist with various other projects and reporting related to NatCat as required.
• Interact closely with the London EM team, AIR and Exposure Hub specialists to achieve superior data quality in Rokstone’ cat modelling and exposure reporting.
• Manage pre-bind and post-bind process and deliver regular reporting to both the US underwriting teams and London EM team.
• Follow AIR to keep track of most recent cat model developments.

The Role

The Junior Credit Controller is responsible for the analysis and recording of various credit control transactions, as well as cash collection and monitoring. The candidate will be responsible for their portfolio of brokers which includes sending statements, liaising with brokers and their finance departments, preparing and generating various reports with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and issue monthly broker statements of accounts.
• Allocate funds received and request closings and slips from Brokers.
• Pursue debtors frequently by telephone, email, teams meeting to secure payment.
• Identify and escalate NOC from aged debt.

We recognise the value for our Early Career colleagues of being in the office environment from the beginning of their programme. As a new intern, you will spend your 9 weeks in the Aon office or with clients.

If you join us as a graduate, after your internship, you will spend the first 6 months based in the office to support your learning, development, and progression. This will enable you access to support from managers, collaborate with colleagues as well as grow your network across Aon. After completing this initial training period, you will then have the opportunity to work more flexibly, spending at least 3 to 4 days face to face in the Aon office or with clients.

The Analytics Graduate Programme 2025 is now open for applications! This graduate entry training scheme is a 24-month fixed-term contract with the A&A (Actuarial & Analytics) department. Upon completing the training scheme and meeting performance expectations, you will qualify for a permanent role within the A&A department.

Over the course of the scheme, you will:

• Contribute to the development of the company’s analytics capabilities.
